About me
Dr. Yashica Latimer is a Mathematics Coordinator for Fort Mill School District with nearly two decades of experience in mathematics education. She works at the intersection of research and praxis, supporting teachers and leaders in building rigorous, student-centered mathematics classrooms. Her research examines instructional practices in mathematics education, with an emphasis on responsiveness to the experiences of diverse learners. She has co-authored and published curriculum in mathematics, computer science, and equity-centered instructional practices. Dedicated to service, she has led professional learning across South Carolina through state-level leadership and is committed to ensuring mathematics is experienced as meaningful, empowering, and accessible for every student.
